TENDANCES SS 24

SS 24 TRENDS

With a background in art direction, I would like to kick off this new season by analyzing the jewelry trends for spring/summer 2024.

This year, we are seeing a shift in trends, with an emphasis on calm, earthy tones. This shift brings a sense of calm and connection with nature through a palette ranging from soft earthy tones to serene pastels, perfect for a relaxing and elegant season.

In addition to these new on-trend colors, classic neutral colors continue to play an important role, offering a timeless base for spring/summer jewelry and accessories.

BRACELETS AND BANGLE BRACELETS

For spring/summer 2024, bracelets and bangle bracelets are a match made in heaven. They are chunky, asymmetrical, and come in different sizes. Worn layered and crafted in gold- or silver-tone metal, these wide bracelets can even be slipped over a sleeve or a pair of gloves.

LONG NECKLACES OR CHOKERS,

NOT BOTH!

When it comes to necklaces, there is only one choice: very long or very short! This timeless feminine jewelry can be adapted to any occasion. Long necklaces are worn layered, as seen at Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and Burberry. Chokers, also known as neck collars or short necklaces, are adorned with pearls, rhinestones, or oversized links, as seen at Gucci. This absolutely chic piece of jewelry can be worn with a long tailored jacket or a low-cut sweater.

EARRINGS: XS OR XL?

The same duality applies to earrings: very small or very large. Discreet earrings are worn high on the ear, mismatched, or worn individually as a single earring or in maximalist pairs.
